Aims And Objectives
• To familiarize fellows about current geriatrics services in primary health care. • To familiarize fellows about current geriatrics services through scheduled home visit. • Introduction to Comprehensive Geriatrics Assessment “CGA”. • Reflection on current and future geriatrics services in Kuwait. • To familiarize fellows about red flags, diagnosis, and management of common non-communicable diseases (NCD) such as diabetes, hypertension, thyroid disease and anemia in elderly. • To familiarize fellows about red flags, diagnosis, and management of common eye, ear skin and common electrolyte problems in older adults. • To familiarize fellows about red flags, diagnosis, and management of Osteoporosis, Palliative care and wound care in older adults. • To familiarize fellows about cognitive impairment approach and management in older adults. • To familiarize fellows about common psychiatric problems and management in older adults.
