Aims And Objectives

An emphasis on public health is currently needed more than ever before. Its purpose is to improve the health of people as rapidly as possible. In 60 years, the average life span in Kuwait has increased almost 25 years. Much of this gain can be attributed to public health advances. However, while the progress has been enormous, many public health issues, both old and emerging, remain to be solved.


Content Outline

Public health focuses on people. Maximizing health requires contribution from many sectors of the society; including broad social, economic, environmental, transportation, and other policies in which government plays a key role. Public health and health care are to be seen a interdependent; maximizing potential health gains is a challenge for both fields. We trust that the new Faculty of Public Health will bring new initiatives, skills and competences for the betterment of public health in Kuwait as well as in the whole Gulf region and the Arab world.


Target Audience

All Medical and Health Sciences professional from Kuwait as well as the students in Medical and Health Sciences Center faculties. It is expected that approximately 75 participants per day.
