Aims And Objectives

The ECG & Pharmacology Course is a classroom-based, facilitator-led course designed to improve electrocardiogram (ECG) recognition skills and pharmacology knowledge for treating cardiovascular emergencies. The course contains two modules, ECG and Pharmacology, which can be taken together or separately. This course is for healthcare professionals who participate in the management of cardiopulmonary arrest or other care and critical care units such as physicians, nurses, and others who require this specialized knowledge for their job


Content Outline

After participating in this activity, participants will be able to: 1. Explain heart anatomy and basic electrophysiology 2. Explain normal ECG measurements 3. Recognize basic arrhythmias 4. List basic ACLS drugs 5. Describe drugs, doses, and routes of administration during cardiovascular emergencies
