Aims And Objectives

involves academic lectures that would act as a contemporary update for the fields of Oral Medicine and Oral Pathology. Aim to include the most common oral diseases to be encountered in the dental setting. It will involve examples of common and rare cases with emphasis on their aetiology, pathogenesis and the approach to management. The overall aim is ensuring safe dental practice via the recognition of oral mucosal pathology and orofacial pain.

Content Outline

1. To recognise the many different types of oral ulcers presenting in the oral cavity. 2. Formulate differential diagnoses for oral ulcers and plan safe management approaches. 3. To differentiate between benign and potentially malignant oral lesions. 4. To be familiar with the updated classifications for orofacial pain.
