Aims And Objectives

To give the trainees the basic knowledge needed for diabetes screening, diagnosis, evaluation and management.

Content Outline

1- Classification and diagnosis of diabetes. 2- Screening and prediabetes management. 3- Initial evaluation and follow up evaluation. 4- Management of acute complications: Hypo and hyperglycemia. 5- Overview of the new guidelines in the management of diabetes. 6- Oral agents types and general information. 7- Insulin types, initiation and titration. 8- Chronic complications and comorbidities with diabetes and its management
