Aims And Objectives

Aims: To aid residents in optimizing patient care through appropriate treatment planning and application of pulp therapy for non-vital or irreversibly inflamed primary teeth. Intended Learning Outcomes: • Appropriately assess, and diagnose, the pulp status of primary teeth • Understand the principles of non-vital pulp therapies in primary teeth • Recognize the importance of choosing the proper pulp therapy for the non-vital primary tooth, while having a thorough understanding of the indications and contraindications of each procedure • Demonstrate the necessary didactic knowledge to be able to complete the non-vital pulp therapies • Identify, and manage, adverse effects and/or failures during, or after, the treatment


Content Outline

This two-day course will cover new guidelines, developments, and revisit the fundamentals, of non-vital pulp therapy for primary teeth. The course will be conducted in the form of a series of seminars, where the residents will be expected to read, and critically appraise, the required reading prior to the sessions and participate in the presenting topics.
