Aims And Objectives

· To achieve higher educational level and standard of care in common gynecological problems in primary care setting.


Content Outline

o To shape common gynecological problems approach in the primary care setting, as follows: o By using appropriate history and physical examination for women of all age groups o The impact of the problem on patient's life e.g. psychological needs and family, occupation, interpersonal relationships and social expectations. o To consider the patient/family / caregivers in the consultation o The importance of disease prevention (e.g. screening) in women life · To tackle the following important women problems during the day: o Menstrual regularities o Infections and diseases of the female reproductive system o Family planning and contraception (Oral contraceptive counseling and prescribing and emergency contraception) o Post-menopausal syndrome o PMS o Dysmenorrhoea · Consultation and referral: The role of the obstetrician, gynecologist and subspecialist
