Aims And Objectives

Bu the end of the academic course the residents should : 1. Able and ready to set the SOE and justify different cases scenario. 2. Appreciate legal implication for drug prescription. 3.Understand and apply the basic knowledge of the pharmacology related to dentistry, including therapeutic actions of the antimicrobials, antiviral, antifungal and antibiotics, and know their dose regiment, side effects, and drugs interactions. 4.Understand and apply all the regulations in the subject of radiation hazards and radiation protection. 5.Understand the pattern of growth of the calvarium, cranial base, nasomaxillary complex and the mandible. 6.Understand the pattern of growth of the calvarium, cranial base, nasomaxillary complex and the mandible. 7. Know how occlusal development proceeds in ‘average’ child and Able to classify the 1st molar and incisor relationship, and know how to categorise malocclusion according to the Index of Orthodontic Treatment Need (IOTN) 8. Define the science of craniofacial biology, applied histology and embryology which enables the residents to recognize the normal and abnormal function of tissues and organs. 9. Recognise systemic and orofacial pathology including white and red lesions of oral mucosa, vesicullo-bullous diseases, pre-malignant / malignant lesions and cysts of the jaws. 10. Understand the Key of each disease Prevention and management.

1st day : Moc SOE workshop. 2nd day|: Pharmacology Lectures , and Head and Neck anatomy 3rd day: Orthodontic lectures. 4th day: Emberyology and craniofacial biology lectures 5th day: Oral pathology Lectures
