Aims And Objectives

i. Learn patient interview skills: including providing patients with emotional support and treating patients with dignity and respect. ii. Practice time-management and conflict management during the patient interview. iii. Practice explaining medical information in lay terms during the patient interview. iv. Practice applying clinical knowledge and the knowledge of ethics in dealing with patients and their families

Content Outline

Communication skills case practice and feedback (8 cases, 30 minutes each) There will be a break after the first 5 cases After each case practice feedback is given to the attendee by the instructor

10, Assistant Registrars, Registrars or Internal Medicine Residents, Internal Medicine Physicians sitting the MRCP exam or looking to improve their communication skills
