Aims And Objectives

o To explain the concept of continuous development plans o To explain the safety principles and its applications o To introduce the concept of risk management and incident reporting o To practice on operational plans o To practice on quality improvement projects o To introduce the concept of healthy city


Content Outline

Organization management o Implement processes to ensure continuous quality improvement within the practice o Ability to implement the necessary changes to achieve the required standards. o Show effective leadership skills o Demonstrate an awareness of the role of the family physician in situations other than patient care, such as participation in health care management, policy development and planning o Consider issues of patient safety in the provision of care and other professional responsibilities Personal and professional o Set priorities and manage time to balance patient care, practice requirements, outside activities and personal life o Maintain and enhance professional activities through ongoing self-directed learning based on reflective practice. o Awareness that continuous development process is a successful tool to improve the patient’s care o Show commitment to continuous professional development through CME, audit…etc o Facilitate the education of trainees, colleagues and other health professionals as appropriate. o Able to maintain the quality of care to the level of national and international standards. o A self-awareness regarding personal ethical strengths and vulnerabilities as they affect one’s own professional practice. o Physician error (identification and coping with own and others errors)
