Aims And Objectives

· To achieve higher educational level and standard of care in common gynecological problems in primary care setting.


Content Outline

- To shape common gynecological problems approach in the primary care setting, as follows: - By using appropriate history and physical examination for women of all age groups - The impact of the problem on patient's life e.g. psychological needs and family, occupation, interpersonal relationships and social expectations. - To consider the patient/family / caregivers in the consultation - The importance of disease prevention (e.g. screening) in women life - To tackle the following important women problems during the day: - Menstrual regularities - Infections and diseases of the female reproductive system - Family planning and contraception (Oral contraceptive counseling and prescribing and emergency contraception) - Post-menopausal syndrome - PMS - Dysmenorrhea Consultation and referral: The role of the obstetrician, gynecologist and subspecialist
