Aims And Objectives

1. Outline the biologic laser-tissue interactions of different laser wavelengths. 2. Discover the indications for lasers in specific soft tissues procedures. 3. Explain the safe applications of laser wavelengths and operational parameters on different oral tissues. 4. Understand the absorption characteristics of laser wavelengths to achieve the ideal clinical goals. 5. Review the advantages and limitations of different laser wavelengths in oral surgery. 6. Describe the use of a dental laser in the treatment of periodontal disease. 7. Review the effect of lasers on periodontal pathogenic bacteria. 8. Explain the current clinical status of lasers in periodontal pocket treatment. 9. Review the clinical applications of different laser wavelengths in implantology. 10.
