Aims And Objectives

· To achieve higher educational level and standard of care in common gynecological problems in primary care setting.


Content Outline

To shape common gynecological problems approach in the primary care setting, as follows: o By using appropriate history and physical examination for women of all age groups o The impact of the problem on patient's life e.g. psychological needs and family, occupation, interpersonal relationships and social expectations. o To consider the patient/family / caregivers in the consultation o The importance of disease prevention (e.g. screening) in women life · To tackle the following important women problems during the day: o Menstrual regularities o Infections and diseases of the female reproductive system o Family planning and contraception (Oral contraceptive counseling and prescribing and emergency contraception) o Post-menopausal syndrome o PMS o Dysmenorrhoea Consultation and referral: The role of the obstetrician, gynecologist and subspecialist
