Aims And Objectives

- Introduce candidates to laparoscopic equipment & instruments. - Inform candidates about basic Lap ergonomics. - Inform candidates on how to conduct safe laparoscopy. - Train candidates on extracorporeal ligatures. - Orient candidates about camera navigation. - Improving candidates hand eye coordination. - Train candidates to perform Lap dissection on dry materials and animal tissues (wet Lab). - Train candidates on basic Lap suturing. - Train candidates on surgical procedures like lap. Appendectomy and lap cholecystectomy.

Day I: Monday 6th January 2025: 8.00:8.15 AM: Registration. 8.15:8.30: Welcome & Introduction. 8.30 :9.30: Session I: - Laparoscopic tower orientation. 20 min - Ergonomics of laparoscopy. 20 min - Camera navigation. 20 min 9:30-9:45: Break. 9:45-11:45: Lab I (Dry Lab): Two candidates per Pelvitrainer Each candidate will rotate all 4 exercises 15 min for each. - Station 1 Pelvitrainer: Hand eye coordination I (Peg Transfer). - Station 2 Pelvitrainer: Dissection skills I (precise paper cutting). - Station 3 Pelvitrainer: Camera orientation (zero/angled). - Station 4 Pelvitrainer: Specimen extraction. 11.45-12.15: Coffee break and Dhuhr prayer: 12.15 – 1.15: Session II: - Safety in Laparoscopy. 20 Min. - Laparoscopic Extracorporeal knots. 20 min. - Laparoscopic vessel sealers. 20 min. 1.15 - 2.45 PM: Lab II (Dry Lab): Two candidates per Pelvitrainer. Each candidate will rotate 4 exercises 15 min each. - Station 1 Pelvitrainer: Hand eye coordination II (Rings & Strings). - Station 2 Pelvitrainer: Dissection skills II (Balloon in ballon). - Station 3 Pelvitrainer: Abdominal wall entry (different modalities). - Station 4: Extracorporeal knots 2.45: Lunch. End of Day 1 Day II: Tuesday 7th January 2025: 8.15 :8.30: Applied Medical Company talk. 8.30:9.45: Session III: - Needle handling 15 min - Basic suturing techniques. 25 min. 9:30-9:45: Break. 9.45 :10-15: Lab III (Dry Lab): Fixed stations. Two candidates per Pelvitrainer. - Intracorporeal Suturing with extracorporeal knotting. 10.15:11-45: Lab IV (Dry Lab): Fixed stations. Two candidates per Pelvitrainer - Intracorporeal Suturing with intracorporeal knotting. 11.45-12.15: Coffee break and Dhuhr prayer: 12.15 – 1.00: Session IV: - Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy. 20 min. - Laparoscopic Appendectomy. 20 Min. 1.00 -1.50 PM: Lab V (Dry Lab): Two candidates per Pelvitrainer Fixed stations - Laparoscopic Appendectomy 2.00 -3.00 PM: Lab IV (Dry Lab): Two candidates per Pelvitrainer Fixed stations - Laparoscopic Cholecystectomy. 3.00 -3.30 PM: Lunch, Closing, feedback & Certificates End of Day 2
